Iceberg Expedition with Terra Nova
Arctic explorations were the cool things for the early 1900’s. In 1911, British explorer Robert Falcon Scott embarked on an adventure to the South Pole by sailing aboard the Terra Nova Expedition. With torrential downpour storms and cool temperatures notwithstanding, Scott and his crew kept trekking. Finally, after what seemed like forever on January 16, 1912, they made it to their destination where it was met by another group of Norwegian explorers, Roald Amundsen’s expedition had been here almost a month ago.
